To edit Site Navigation your website click on the EDIT WEBSITE tab. Then click the TOOLS drop down menu and choose SITE NAVIGATION. The edit Navigation dialog box will appear.
Editing Your Navigation:
1. Drag links up & down to change their sequence.
2. Click the drop-down arrows to view the sub-navigation pages.
3. Drag right and left to move into and out of parent navigation items. Green and Red background colors will appear to guide you.
4. To save your changes, click DONE.
Editing a Navigation Link:
1. To edit a navigation link, click EDIT to the right of the link. By changing the Label, you will be changing how that navigation link displays on your website.
2. To change which page that navigation link points to, click on the PAGE field. A drop-down list will appear with two types of link options:
An External URL will direct this navigation link to an external website. Enter the URL of that website in the URL field.
The URLs on this Website drop-down list will show all pages where you can point this navigation link to.
3. To save your changes, click DONE.
Deleting a Navigation LINK:
- Click EDIT to the right of the link, then click REMOVE FROM NAV button. A warning box will appear for you to confirm your intention to delete the navigation item.
Creating a New Navigation Link:
1. To add a navigation link, click NEW NAVIGATION LINK.
2. Enter the Label of this navigation link how you want it to display on your website.
NOTE - Changing the Label does not change the name of the page you are linking to. It only changes the Label of this link in the navigation.
3. A drop-down list will appear with two types of link options:
An External URL will direct this navigation link to an external website. Enter the URL of that website in the URL field.
The URLs on this Website drop-down list will show all pages where you can point this navigation link to.
4. To save your changes, click CREATE NAV LINK.
Creating Hidden Pages and Private Pages:
- Hiding a web page can be done by simply removing it from your site navigation. This page will still be live on the internet and potentially discoverable through Search Engines, but there will no longer be a link to that page on your website. The page will be accessible via a direct linkāas sent in an email, for instance.
