By default, web browsers will not print 'background' images, in an effort to save ink. This is generally a very useful feature, but if you would like a printout of your website (or any webpage) to include those images, here are basic instructions for most popular browsers.
Internet Explorer
- Select File then Page Setup
- Check Print Background Colors and Images
- Click OK
- Now, when printing a page it should include background images.
Firefox (on Windows)
- Select File then Page Setup
- Check Print Background (colors and images)
- Click OK
- Now, when printing a page it should include background images.
Firefox (on Mac)
- From your menubar, select File, then Print
- Select Print Background Images then click Print
Safari
- From your menubar, select File, then Print
- Click Show Details
- Select Print Backgrounds then click Print
Chrome
- From your menubar, select File, then Print
- In the area labeled Options, select Background Colors and Images then click Print
Note: Your specific browser version may have a slightly different procedure than described here.
